I LOVE Mother's Day!

Whomever founded this day is brilliant!  I am a total fan, and it's not just for the obvious no guilt reason to "relax and do nothing to celebrate your day" while the rest of the family picks up the normal mom chores.  I love it because it provides a day to remember what a fabulous (close to perfect) mother I have, and for the many life lessons she has taught me.  I love it because it reminds me what a wonderful mother-in-law I have been blessed with that has raised a pretty darn good son, and I love it because it reminds me how being a mother is the absolute JOY of my life!  I'm a believer that celebrating Mother's Day should be weekly, or even daily because although not every day situations with my children can always be considered "perfectly rosey",  just the mere fact of having the opportunity to be a mother is a perfect blessing!!

Lucky for me, my Mother's Day celebrations lasted the entire weekend! Preston's kindergarten class started the celebrations on Friday with a "Mother's Day Tea" at school, complete with songs, a self-designed and made bonnet from Preston, treats, and my favorite part----a dance!  I don't think I stopped smiling the entire time.  Absolutely the sweetest time with my favorite kindergarten boy!

Bracken returned home just two days ago from college, so having all four boys home for Mother's Day was a gift in itself, but check out my Mother's Day surprise that will be perfect for the upcoming summer heat..........Dad knows how to find a great gift!  Complete with hundreds of snow cone cups, 15 or more snow cone flavors and enough straws for an army, we are set!  Let the pool parties begin!

Yes, being a mother is beyond joy!  I Love these boys!  I am one blessed momma!! And to quote the Chinese writer Lin Yutang, "Of all the rights of a woman, the greatest is to be a mother."  I couldn't agree more!!  Thanks for a perfect Mother's Day!
