Our Little Sport is SIX

This little dude has been a HUGE part of our family since the day he was born.  Although he came into our lives several years after his older brothers, he can keep up with the best of them, and the age difference is NOT a factor.  His philosophy growing up with three older brothers is simple....."Anything they can do, I can do too."  He traded in watching cartoons and playing with toddler toys a long time ago, and would much rather talk sports, watch ESPN, and stay up late to catch the entire ending of a good ball game.  Yes, this boy is all SPORTS, and the only aggression he EVER shows is with a ball.  Although our little guy feels all grown up in many ways, lucky for us, he still tolerates kisses, hugs, cuddling, bed stories every night, and his family telling him how absolutely "adorable" and "fabulous" he is.  Yes, this kid is definitely LOVED!!

And who does this little sports enthusiast favor?..........His hometown San Francisco 49'ers, San Francisco Giants, and the Golden State Warriors.  Stats and Players?  He knows them ALL! And our move to this area was perfect timing for winning seasons all around.  He's helped cheer on the Giants in the World Series, the 49er's at the Superbowl, and wears his true colors to every Warriors game he can go too.  It's always a celebration for Preston when his favorite teams are competing.

So it's hard to believe this little guy is SIX!!  After a birthday celebration with the family, Preston invited all of the boys in both his school and Sunday school class to join him at "Pump it Up" for an afternoon of fun which he later pronounced as his "Best Birthday EVER!"

And to top off a perfect birthday were surprise presents in the mail from both grandparents, and a trip to Build A Bear Workshop where Preston adopted "Festus" (of course named after Festus Ezeli---the Golden State Warriors Center).  No doubt this boys is sports minded, and no doubt we LOVE this boy!!  Happy 6th Birthday little Sport!!

This is such an adorable post--some day he is going to get such a big kick out of how sports-minded he was at such a young age--because he is never going to change that love! Grandpa and I could not believe how he knew the names of every player and what position they played--plus all the stats of the team. He is amazing! And like you said, he is the happiest little guy ever! He just goes along--never complains and just enjoys life at its fullest. We love you, Preston! We're so glad you had such a fun birthday!

Preston has always been such a darling little boy! What would your family have done without him these last six years. He was truly worth all the sacrifice you made for him to come to this earth with all of your health problems. Children really do bring the greatest joy, don't they? Tell Preston "Happy Birthday."
