Schools out.....Time to Study??

Finally, school exams are over----or are they? Just when the boys breathed a breath of relief, they realized they had a whole new subject to study----SCUBA!! To prepare for our Guam vacation, we found a company in Shanghai that would help to certify us for scuba diving. This would allow us a lot more time to actually scuba while we are in Guam. Weeks prior to the class, we spent several hours watching scuba instruction videos at home, followed by "in class" book instruction, and finally, one whole day in the pool practicing different scuba techniques. We also had quizzes, and one final exam. (We have to admit we were not happy when Dad kept us up after long scuba days to study the different sections, but the studying obviously helped as we all passed with flying colors!! If ye are prepared......) Now it's off to Guam to do our certification procedures "open water", and at last we will all be PADI certified!
Alison was a little reluctant at first to try the scuba diving, but John and the boys would not allow her to WHIMP OUT!
Bracken and Parker (with Paige and Garrett MacDonald who will also be going to Guam with us) have already done scuba classes at various resorts, so they were already familiar with several scuba skills.) Maybe the only skill Parker lacked was knowing how to put on a wet suit correctly. He complained to all of us how incredibly small his wet suit was until we realized he had put his legs inside where his arms should go. It took three people to get him out, but it gave us all a good laugh!!!
