A Teenage Life for Me

October 28th, 2009, the Wilde home welcomed another new teenager to our clan. We weren't disappointed our "Parker-boy" was getting older since every year he brings more and more laughter to our home. It's hard as a parent to discipline a child that has a few too many hilarious comebacks, so luckily it is rare that disciplining him has to be done. Truly, only Parker can make even the most serious of Chinese taxi drivers bust up laughing, and his signature smile is contagious to everyone he meets. His teachers at school summed up Parker perfectly saying, "Parker is extremely enthusiastic, and his passion is appreciated by everyone." So here's to you Parker, and thanks for brightening up our lives!

Parker chose to have his birthday dinner at the Shangri-la buffet. (Also the same place Chinese NBA star Yao Ming had his wedding) This was of no surprise, as it offers a VERY pricey ALL YOU CAN EAT of his favorite foods--steak, seafood, and sushi. Parker also chose to leave the younger brothers at home during this birthday celebration, since he decided they would only choose to eat a "a few noodles and sauce" from the buffet, hardly making it worth taking them. (: (we will let Parker explain that to Tyson and Preston in years to come.....)

Parker sits with his signature Shangri-la "little orange box". After gorging yourself with every kind of food imaginable, it is a MUST to head over to the gummy counter before leaving the buffet, and stuff as many gummies as possible for the road.

HAPPY #13 PARKER-----WE LOVE YOU!!

Happy Birthday, Parker! What a great time you had! I surely wish Grandpa and I were there at that cool restaurant with you--we love everything you ordered except the sushi. Could we still have gone????

To think that your boys are getting to be teenagers is hardly possible. I still remember watching you (little Alison) ride around the cement pad outside your home in California on your trike. Time goes by quickly and I'm so glad you are enjoying your kids during these fun years. We are so proud of you and what you are accomplishing. Tell them all "hello" for me. Love, Beverly
