Impossible to Forget

Undoubtedly, Tyson is one great kid, and we would NEVER forget his birthday here at the Wilde house.   However, being that we had already celebrated his birthday earlier this summer in the states, we were not planning on another huge fiesta.  Regardless if any birthday plans are set or not, there are two people that still anticipate the big day----Tyson himself, and Mike, our previous driver.  Since we met him almost 4 years ago, he has not forgotten Tyson's birthday even once!  Even though he has not been our driver for almost 2 years now, he still comes back yearly to celebrate with Tyson and bring him a special gift (and remind us that Tyson is the BEST of the 4 Wilde boys (: .  Truly, it's quite impressive, and we have thanked Mike so many times for his thoughtfulness.

This year,  a few days before Tyson's official birthdate, Mike showed up unexpectely at the house, carrying gifts for Tyson.  The boys were still at school, so unfortunately Mike was unable to personally give Tyson his birthday gift.  Apparently, Mike's excitement to wait and give the gift later to Tyson was impossible-- he ripped open the gift himself, and made sure it was ready and waiting when Tyson arrived!!!

Before Mike left, he told me he would be back on the weekend to officially celebrate the day with some American brownies and ice cream (and diet coke please) with Tyson.  And straight from the words of Mike...Nothing but the best for the "best American boy in China!"

And even after all the birthday celebrations he had already had, Tyson still kept the celebrations alive by taking his traditional vanilla cupcakes for his classmates, teachers, and past teachers on his EXACT BIG DAY!   Thanks Tyson for making life such a non-stop party!!
