We have a new home, the boys have started the school year at their various new schools, and ALL of us have begun a new chapter of life. We have easily fallen in love with this new city, and look forward to new experiences and opportunities surrounding us!
This is a unique year for the Wilde family. We have a son in every level of school........
BRACKEN-----Our newest college student!! Dropping him off at Utah State was bittersweet. We will miss him beyond words, and life at the Wilde home will definitely not be the same. However, we are so excited for this fabulous time of life for him, and look forward to hearing about his college experiences.
PARKER----Started his sophomore year in San Francisco at a high school more than four times the size of his school in Shanghai. Was he nervous??......not a bit!! Bring it on for Parker.....his positive attitude and smile has already gained him a phone full of contacts (yes, most of them are girls!)
TYSON----Began middle school with loads of other 6th graders new to this school too. What perfect timing for Tyson to blend and meet others experiencing this new middle school life for the first time as well.
PRESTON---Our Kindergarten little man!! On the first day of school, it was impossible to shed too many tears when your student-to-be was this excited to go to school. His countdown to kindergarten had started the minute he graduated from preschool. His eagerness for school was even more evident when he didn't even shed a tear when given four immunizations! (He knew this meant he was that much closer to starting elementary school). We hope this enthusiasm is here to stay!!
Slurpees make everything better!!
ROSCO AND ROXY----And not to be forgotten......WELCOME TO AMERICA, and to a new life as well to these two highly expensive little passengers. After an extremely long airplane ride which included a layover in the Amsterdam pet hotel, these two finally touched down in San Francisco where we met them to "identify" and collect.
Extremely hungry and thirsty, but ever so ready to escape the box and head to their new home.....

Thank you for putting all of the new "homes" for everyone on this blog--the college, high school, middle school, and elementary--plus the dog house! Roxy and Roscoe look quieter than I have ever seen them! Hopefully they have simmered down a bit coming to America! Hah! Anyway, your home is just beautiful! I can't wait until Grandpa George and I can visit!
Alison, I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for you to move once again. Your moves aren't the normal going from home to home...you have to move across oceans with kids, pets, furniture, belongs, etc. etc. It really is great to know that you are back in the states. So happy your children are quickly adapting. I know Brad will miss having you in China, however. He absolutely loved being able to visit family when he goes to China.
I didn't know you have an Aggie?! Go Bracken... he will love it there. Did you know Matt and I are both Aggies... True Aggies that is.:) You may hope he doesn't become one until after his mission!:) Just kidding... a little kiss is good for everyone, right? So glad to see you guys are settled and doing well. Abby also started kindergarten this year and could not have waited a day more. She loves it!
Alison, Your new home is just beautiful! And, who wouldn't want to live in California?!? I'll bet you are grateful that you have many things behind you with the move and look forward to the new adventures--"the Wilde Family Adventures!" Thanks for sharing all of those adventures over the years. We are excited to see you at Grandpa's Bingo Party in December.
oh alison! I'm so happy for you!! Life is good. So stressful sometimes, right???? But good. Can't wait to see you again. I'm happy for you and your sweet family.
