Japan Day #5---Mt. Fuji

We all looked forward to seeing Mt. Fuji. During this season, they do not allow people to actually "climb" the mountain, but we wanted to get as close to it as possible. In order to do this, it was actually quite a process-----FIRST, we took a train.......
Our train ride was short, and we were surrounded by beautiful scenery.
Next, we took a cable car straight up a mountain.
The next step was traveling by sky cars across the mountain---
Finally, we took a boat that would allow us to see Mt. Fuji. However, when we arrived at the viewing spot.......
A very LARGE cloud obstructed our view. Unfortunately, we could not actually see Mt. Fuji, but we enjoyed the beauty surrounding it!!
A Japanese couple who we shared our sky car with did not want us to be too disappointed about not seeing Mt. Fuji. They gave us a magnet for our family magnet collection with a picture of Mt. Fuji (without the giant cloud blocking it).
Our plans were not exactly what we had imagined, but the day was still fabulous!

Japan? Well, NONE of my posts will ever seem important again. You are living a dream. Wanna switch? You'll LOVE being married to Kent. HAHA
