Good Bye Kong Qiao, Hello Jin Qiao!

One would think that the number of times our family has moved we would all be pros at the idea, and that we have it down to a science. However, this is far from true! Every move we have made has involved different emotions, and no matter if we move down the street, domestically, or internationally, we always have a hard time leaving what we call "home." Three years ago when we moved to China we chose to live in "The Emerald", a neighborhood farther out from the city, where 12 other families from our branch were living. There is not enough good that can be said about living in "The Emerald," and we have absolutely loved everything about it.....except for the commuting issues!! As the boys continue to grow, so do the amount of their activities. Having just one car and driver can get tricky when you have three or four different places to be at the same time, which has resulted in a lot of taxi drivers showing up at our house. Because of the transportation becoming more and more of an issue, we knew it was time to move closer to the city where most of our activities are. So, three months ago we found another fabulous home in Jin Qiao that we would move into the first week in June. After finding our new home, we took the three months to organize and prepare for the upcoming move, but we still were not fully "mentally" prepared when this blue truck, and ten Chinese workers showed up to move us from what we knew as "home."

Luckily, Preston apparently was wearing the "correct" red working uniform to assist with the movers--they definitely appreciated his strength!

Good Bye Kong Qiao----We will miss you!!
Hello Jin Qiao---We welcome our new conveniences and experiences, and our family is quickly reminded for the millionth time that "home can be anywhere in the world as long as you have your family together!!"
