Swimming at Aunt Amy's pool in Florida........Maybe a community pool, but we were almost always the ONLY ones there----definite thumbs up!
"Summer Fun" at Grandma Wilde's Preschool........Preschool camp, with the greatest preschool teacher--GRANDMA...definite thumbs up!
TYSON..........
For Tyson, EVERY SINGLE DAY of summer is a blockbuster! His Summer Blockbusters included... basketball camps, tennis camps, golf camps, pizza outings, trips to Target to check out Legos, daily wildlife scoutings with Grandpa in his truck, 4-Wheeling, S'MOREs, 1500 Piece Puzzle Projects, and even Space Shuttle Sightings---Tyson's summer had it all!!!
PARKER.........
What does this teen say topped his summer "bests?" Of course hanging with his cousin Connor was tops, but another "TOP" that he will NEVER FORGET......
Surprisingly realizing Grandpa Copeland can STILL take you on the basketball court, and sending a text to his parents verifying how amazed he was at Grandpa's skills....DOUBLE THUMBS UP!!!
Ok, maybe not for Parker, but for the rest of the family....One of the BEST Blockbusters this past summer?? Watching Parker weed Aunt Carrie and Uncle Tyler's entire garden BY HIMSELF after losing a golf bet to Uncle Tyler!! Quite possibly the MOST entertaining afternoon ever---thumbs up!!
BRACKEN-----
More than two thumbs up.....spending an entire summer with your grandparents in Jacksonville, Florida while working at Grandpa Copeland's school district office, and reporting it was his favorite summer ever!! Great life lessons, memories with grandparents, fun with friends, great co-workers, his favorite college team nearby, AND a pay check??!!! Definitely a great summer hit!

DAD----
One of the biggest reasons our summer was full of blockbusters was because our DAD was able to spend the majority of the summer with us. If Dad is there, it is always FUN!! Big thanks to the Chinese law that states if a foreigner lives in China for 5 years, the foreigner must leave the country for at least 30 consecutive days---works for us!! So, even though we missed him AGAIN for the 8th year on Father's Day, we got him all to ourselves for the next 5 weeks.......unanimous thumbs up!!
And with a bonus amount of time this summer away from China, it gave him ample time in the US to eat at his favorite restaurants-- namely Sonny's and Chuck O' Rama......ask him about it (:

The greatest summer blockbusters.....watching your kids enjoy their summer activities like I always did, sharing memories with high school friends, relatives, and those people in your life that no matter how long it has been since the last time you saw them, there are still so many reasons to LAUGH!!
Here's to the Summer of 2011 Blockbusters......and many more...

I always love to see what the kids remember most about their summers. Your kids did a little of everything. I love how you keep them so busy. I know our summer memories will definitely include the Wildes--from absolutely loving having Bracken in our home (we felt like young parents again!) to having you all in Florida for a couple of weeks. It was all so fun. I hope you will still plan plenty of great memories with us in Florida for coming summers, even though you will be back in the states! Summer wouldn't be summer without the Wilde bunch!
Summer definitely is a wonderful time for you, John and the boys to reconnect with family in Utah and Florida. I'm grateful that I was able to see you at the jewelry party and for Natalie's birthday lunch. You are such a positive, happy, fun person, Alison, and I feel privileged to be your aunt!
Wow, you definitely did have a blockbuster summer. I loved seeing each one in your family and what was special for them about the summer. It is always special to get dads to be part of things, also. I'm very grateful you could join us for Natalie's birthday because you made our luncheon even more enjoyable with your cute personality and sense of humor.
