Varsity EAGLE Baseball

A great year for the SAS Eagles baseball team!  The baseball season kept Bracken extremely busy with practices, games, and tournaments not only locally, but throughout China as well as the Philippines.

These are a great group of guys! A couple days before their tournament in the Philippines, we invited the team and their families over for a BBQ in our backyard.  We made sure we had PLENTY of food for these big guys, and enjoyed having even MORE boys around our home!

We sent a request for Bracken while he was away in Manila for his tournament....bring us back dried Mangoes!  He brought back at least 7 bags of which Parker consumed probably 4 bags in the next two days.  Ummmm.....let's just say the results of Parker's indulgence cost him a few packs of Pepto!

Two weeks later, the Pudong Eagles finished off the season with their Asia Pacific tournament in Beijing.  We were happy John's schedule allowed him to meet the team in Beijing and enjoy the last games of the season.  Way to go Bracken, way to go Eagles!!

Wow, baseball in China. What position does Bracken play? I bet he loves playing because it is such a great team sport. We enjoyed watching the World Series that just finished here in the states with so many talented players. Some day, maybe we will see Bracken part of the series???

I'm so glad Bracken had a great baseball year. Man, they went so many places to play. What an experience! We still miss our buddy, Bracken!

Sports are the greatest activities for young men to teach team togetherness and support, in addition to the fun part. Even baseball has been a cultural experience for Bracken.
