Our neighbors called it their "Mormon Alarm Clock," since every morning at precisely 5:50a.m. they could hear the sounds of scooters, cars, and even a few taxis pulling up in our circle to drop off 18 fabulous and devoted youth for early morning seminary. Over a year ago, our house fire had destroyed all of our downstairs furniture and electronics. This made the empty room in our home a perfect place to hold this early morning meeting. What a blessing and joy it was to hear not only the youth and their sweet voices singing hymns every morning, but we also enjoyed hearing a lot of laughter and learning as well. We will always remember this opportunity to host this amazing group of youth in our home, and thank the teachers who taught our sons such valuable lessons.
Parker completed his first year in seminary while Bracken completed his final year. I'm certain these two boys will always remember this year of having seminary together, and literally both rolling out of bed each morning, and stepping into class outside their bedroom door. Sure love these two boys!!

Seriously, that was the funnest when I was in Shanghai--to hear the quiet whispers when the kids first came in--right outside my bedroom door. By the time the class was in full swing, everyone was participating and answering questions, singing songs--it was fantastic! Such wonderful teachers and very dedicated students. The graduation was fantastic--Bracken did such a great job on his talk. And to see all of those scooters outside the door was so unique, I love that. But my favorite picture of all was Bracken and Parker on their scooter together!!! Loved it! Loved their brotherly love!
It's interesting--the things we remember the most are the ones that required sacrifices, and Bracken will never forget those four years of dedication. I loved the pictures of all the scooters parked outside your door. Jaden has had three years of early morning Seminary in New York, and will still attend Seminary in the early morning hours because of his overloaded class schedule in Boise. I guess he can always say he sacrificed his sleep for four years also.
