And in a blink of an eye.......we had ourselves a high school graduate!! We had heard it all his life that before we knew it he would be graduating from high school. Now, whether we chose to believe it or not, the day was really here. As parents, this day brought a lot of emotion, a lot of tears, and a lot of pride for a son that has brought our family a lot of happiness and joy. Congratulations to our newest graduate.....Bracken John Wilde, class of 2012.
As Bracken prepared for his big graduation day, John also made his preparations to leave the hospital for the first time in over two weeks. We were sooo grateful that he had obtained his doctor's clearance to attend this most important event, one that he would obviously never want to miss.
How LUCKY we were to have Grandma Copeland as our special guest at the graduation. It was the one and only "positive" to having a family emergency, since it brought Grandma to us, and perfect timing for graduation!! She is always such a great sport, up for anything, and has become a fabulous photographer too (all photo credits of the entire graduation go to Grandma and her camera we all covet----Thanks Grandma!)
Of course receiving the actual diploma was what we had all come to see, but even the greater, forever most memorable part, will be the opportunity John was offered as a member of the school board, to present the diploma to his son. As John made his way on stage you could have heard a pin drop, and tears streamed from more than just our family's eyes. It had been an extremely difficult couple weeks for our family, and what better blessing to not only have John up and walking, but also being the presenter of this well earned diploma to his son.
Four students from the 2012 graduating class were given special honors along with a $1,000 cash award from the SAS administration for extraordinary performances throughout the school year. How surprised, touched, and proud we were when we came to realize that the recipient described as "a person with a huge heart,a person full of school spirit, a person who always supported and cheered on other classmates achievements, and a person who started everyone's day off with a smile by appearing in front of the camera on the daily SAS morning show", was indeed........Bracken John Wilde!
Hats off to many wonderful high school memories and achievements, and to the class of 2012
CONGRATS TO OUR FAVORITE 2012 GRADUATE!!

Congrats Bracken!
Ugh! We still need to send him something for graduation...i'm so bad about being on top of these things. Email me his address and I will get that out!
What a proud day that was for Grandpa and me, too! Even though he didn't get to be there, Grandpa was there in spirit because I shared all of the wonderful memories with him when I got home. Bracken truly had some wonderful school experiences and was always such a great example of working hard in school and helping others to have a fantastic school experience by encouraging them and helping them to have great days!
What a wonderful young man! You should be so proud. That was great that John was able to attend AND hand out the diploma to his son. Way to go, Bracken! Congratulations!
I can't believe he is done with HS!! He is so cute and I'm SO happy John could be there. You are looking good in teal too. Cutest mom ever.
